The graphs below show four categories of citrus fruits and the top three countries to which these were exported (in thousand tonnes) in 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The provided graphs elucidate the information about the number of citrus fruits that were exported to different nations surveyed in the year 2002. As shown in first illustration, there existed a considerable variation among the figures for the export of various types of fruits. Also of note is that the three leading countries in terms of importing the researched kinds of fruits all welcomed the presence of the United States.
It is manifest that ranked in the first place was the figure for oranges exported to South Africa which stood at 1 million tones, roughly doubling those of Egypt and the USA, with 500 and 400 thousand respectively. Evidently, grapefruits were also exported on large scale to Turkey whose number was 400 thousand in 2002, followed by Mexico cited with 300 thousand while only 200 thousand tonnes of grapefruits were distributed to American consumers.
However, the corresponding figures for the remaining categories were marginalized, evidenced by roughly 500 thousand tonnes of lemons as well as other varieties of citrus fruits delivered to Mexico for wide consumption. In comparison, next came America with 200 thousand tonnes of lemons being exported, twice as much as the number investigated for Argentina. It is also noticeable that Egypt and the USA marked the same rate of other kinds of fruits, with around 10 thousand tonnes for each.
