The given pictures depict the current center of a small town namely Islip and its plans for future development.
Overall, it is evident that there will be a significant transformation as the town will construct several new facilities and roads.
At the moment, Islip’s center only has one main road with ranges of shopping blocks on both sides. The countryside is in the north part of the town center while the residential area is in the south. A park is located in the Southeast of the map by a detour from the main road. The school is situated in the southwest close to the housing area.
As can be seen from the second picture, a new dual road separating the school and part of the residential area from the town center will be developed. The main road will be set up for pedestrians only while small shops in the north are projected to be demolished to make way for a new shopping center and its car park. There will also be a new housing area in the northeast of the center with an adjunct passageway from the dual carriage. The park will also be reduced in size.
