The line graph illustrates the number of people traveled to and from the UK in the period of 20 years from 1979 to 1999. The bar graph shows the most popular nations which UK residents liked to visit in 1999.
In general, it is evident that the number of people traveled to and from the UK increased from 1979 to 1999. Interestingly, France was the best country for UK people to visit in 1999.
As can be seen on the line chart, with about 12 millions at the beginning, the number of UK people visited aboard saw a significant growth and nearly reached a peak at about 53 millions in the year 1999. Meanwhile, the level of overseas residents who visited to the UK rose gradually from 10 to nearly 30 million at the end of the period.
In addition, France was considered the most countries visited by UK residents at about 11 millions in 1999 whereas the opposite was true for Turkey and Greece just at around 2 and 3 million people, respectively. The number of UK people traveled Spain stood at about 9 million which nearly doubled that of in USA at 4 millions in that year.
