In an overview, in this lecture and reading discussed arguments about pluto as a planet. Admittedly, the points in the lecture cast doubt on the points in the reading.

First of all, the lecture states that the decision to chang pluto's status was controversial; some scientist disagree about decision while, other group vote for this change in the astronomers international community. However this is contrasts the point of reading that the decision was reached by a strong majority vote.

Furthermore, about the new definition of the planet, well, lecture states that critics think new definition is not adequate or realistic. Also, they believe new definition is not correct and comparison would be similar bodies planets. Although, this is opposes with clues of the reading that asserts new definition is clear and precise.

Finally, the lecture explain to calling pluto a "dwarf planet" lead to controversy and confusion and makes this question why is a dwarf planet not a real planet?

consequently, it causes to many problem for education systems. This challenges the content in the reading that astronomers agree that pluto is not a true planet and it is a dwarf planet.
