Dear Ms. Merlins (Principal of Horace Green School),
My name is Tracy and my family and I have recently moved to this wonderful town of Southampton, from New York. Having moved here and planned on settling down for several years to come, it is pertinent that my 15-year-old son continues his high school studies in a local school that is accessible to him.
More often than not, large towns such as Southampton have many good schools. However, my enquiry with the local community and relatives has convinced me that Horace Green is the most prestigious of educational institutions in the locality. Hence, I write to you requesting you to consider my son for the upcoming round of admissions.
To say the least, my son is an outstanding student in his earlier school and loved by most of his fellow students and the teaching faculty alike. His penchant for mathematics and sciences has been regarded as one of the best in our previous town and has won him many accolades in the local Olympiad competitions. He represented his school in the national Olympiad competition as well. He is a straight “As” student, encompassing subjects such as humanities and arts, which is evident of his broad academic strengths that extend beyond maths and sciences.
Apart from academics, he has a plethora of interests in competitive sports such as baseball and badminton, business studies and entrepreneurship and extracurricular activities such as debating and hiking.
Once again, I humbly request your consideration for my son’s admission to your school for the upcoming term. I am sure he will be a wonderful addition to your student groups and will make your school proud.
Warm Regards,
Tracy McMahon
