The pie graph represents the differences in the population of the world by region between the year 1900 and 2000.
In the year 1900, Asia region composed almost 60% of the entire population of the world whereas Europe's population was only 25%. The remaining 15% of the world population was distributed between North America with 5%. Latin America with 3% and 4.5% in Africa. The remaining was spread across the regions.
In the year 2000, the population of Asia decreased by 6% with the percentage went down from 60 to 54. Similarly, Europe declined from 25% to 14%. To the contrary, the other regions consistently increased at almost 9%. Latin America reached 10% furthermore, Middle East and North Africa both accelerated population growth by 6%. In addition there was a slight increased from 2.5% to 3% in other regions, whilst North America remained constant with 5%.
Overall, Asia had the highest percentage increase in world's population over the last century.
