The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
First Grange Park, whose style is rectangular, opened in 1920. People were able to have access to the park through the two entrances, the one for Arnold Avenue and the other for Eldon Street. The main features of the previous park were the fountain in the center of the park, the stage for musicians on the left, the glasshouse next to the entrance facing Eldon Street, and the pond for water plants in the corner on the upper right. Furthermore, there were three rose gardens which are located on the both sides of the gates except for the entrance facing Eldon Street due to the existence of the glasshouse.
By contrast, new Grange Park has almost completely altered its floor plan in significant ways. To begin with, the location of the rose gardens has been changed and replaced in the center of the park with four seating areas along the four lines except for the remaining one close to the upper left corner. Moreover, there is an amphitheater for concerts in front of semicircle-type seating areas with two aisles where the ex-stage used to be. In addition, the pond has been replaced by the children's play area near the new cafe where one of the rose gardens existed and the glasshouse has (been replaced) by the water feature. More significantly, there have been two entrances, but today, people can enter the park from the third one through the underground car park.
In conclusion, there are various kinds of alternation in the Grange park due to the passing time, but the essential functions such as rose gardens, the concert area and the water area have remained.
