The reading passage mentions to real origin of a handwritten manuscript book which was wrote in the fifteenth and sixteenth century and became famous by a bookseller, Wilfrid M.Voynich in 1912. While the reading uses three theories to more clarification about value and origin of debated book, the professor repudiates the mentioned theories by reading passage.
In the first place, the professor says that first theory which refers to scientific part of book and found some material similarities among Anthony Ascham’s book and Voynich’s manuscript is not analogous with fact. In the other words, Ascham who was a typical physicians, couldn’t able to create resourceful concept and ideas that there is in the Voynich’s manuscript. Furthermore, examples like little herbal that consists of ordinary plants is another reason to reject this theory due to lack of scientific level coordination between two books.
Secondly, lack of beneficial information and meaningless text make second theory which clarifies this theory by referring to Kelley who originated a special manuscript to earn money by illustrating his book as a magical one in seventeen century. However, the lecturer argues second theory because Voynich didn’t need to defraud the people with elaborated worked book. if he’s intention was tricking the people rudimentary words and sentences were enough.
Thirdly, the professor explains his disagreement about third theory which claims that Voynich was familiar with old manuscript book and his manuscript was a created book instead of original one. In the professor’s opinion modern technology confirm the date base on the ink. So, any claims like that can be easily rejected.
