Overall, it can be clearly noted that the percentage of leased houses was significantly higher than the percentage of owned property, through the year 1918 to 1970. Before hitting the same percentage in 1971 of 50%. After that, the situation reversed.
In details, for owned households, the percentage in 1918 indicates a relatively low mark of about 24%, which is the lowest as well. In which have drastically increased through the years, to reach a percentage of almost 65% in 2011. It can be seen that the highest percentage of nearly 69% was reached in 2001.
On the other hand, rented households had the highest percentage of about 87% in 1918 before dramatically dropping throughout the years to reach almost 46% in 2011. Nonetheless, the lowest mark was reached in 2001 which was around 32%.
