The charts below give information about the amount spent on different forms of advertising.
The charts show estimated amount of money spent on different advertising mediums and estimated change in the expenditure on these mediums in future.
Despite being the least used form of advertising in 2005, expenditure on internet ads has by far the highest expected growth in 2006. On the contrary, the category of advertising which is expected to have the lowest rise is Radio, followed by Newspapers.
The pie chart illustrates that the three dominant forms of advertising in 2005 were TV, Direct Mail and Newspapers. Estimated expenditure on those advertising categories was just over three times as high as expenditure on Radio, Magazines and Internet combined.
In addition, the bar graph demonstrates that the amount of money spent on all of the advertisers is expected to grow in 2006. However, the predicted growth is, in all cases except internet advertising, not bigger than 10 per cent. Besides the 25 per cent rise of the expenditure on Internet ads, the biggest expected growth has Direct Mail, followed by TV. The rise of expenditure on the other forms of advertising is predicted to be slightly smaller, within the range of 5 and 10 per cent.
