The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The graph provides information about the quantity of enquiries that the Tourist Information Office accepted between January and June in 2011.
Overall, the number of enquiries received in person and over the phone experienced the upward trend while the number of enquiries accepted by letter or email showed the downward trend. Even though enquiries made in person initially had the lowest rate, they bottomed out and outraced letter and telephone enquiries over the six month period.
The number of enquiries received in person was just over 400 in January. It gradually increased by March reaching the amount of 800. The figure then experienced a sharp rise and peaked in June with about 1900 enquiries.
The amount of enquiries that were made through the phone device was higher than the other two categories at first and it was around 900. However, after that it fluctuated, hitting the low point of 800 calls in February. The figure then showed a rapid growth reaching its peak with about 1600 enquiries in June.
As far as the questions sent via letter or email are concerned, their number was highest in January and it was just below 800. It slightly dropped in February and March. Then it started dropping more rapidly, reaching the low point of 400 enquiries in May and staying the same in June.
