The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps illustrate the changes from 1920 to now in Grange Park. Looking from an overall perspective it is readily apparent that the park has experienced considerable changes in terms of facilities and architectural features including a large stage and various areas for recreation. There is also a significant move pertinent to seats but the only areas that remain the same were the entrances and a small garden.
The most striking change is in the center where the fountain has been removed in favor of a Rose garden surrounded by seats. To the left of the new park, the earlier stage has been turned into a spacious amphitheater for concerts. This change has been required the removal of both seats at the top and bottom of the left side as well as the rose garden at the bottom left corner.
Two main entrances from Arnold avenue and Eldon street have remained unchanged during the time but a new entrance has been built from the underground car park. On the right side of the plan, a café has been replaced with a Rose garden and where there was a pond for water plants, now has been changed to an area for children's play. Instead of the pond, a water feature has been built where it was used as Glasshouse and somewhere for seating.
