You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
• explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months.
• say how your work could be done while you are away. Remotely
• ask for his/her help in arranging it.
Dear Sir,
I am writing a letter convey my desire to work at least six months based in our company’s head office Canada; therefore, I need your help with the necessary approval and arrangement.
As we discussed yesterday that my application for Canadian immigration has recently been approved; therefore, I would like to move to Canada in our head office for a couple of months. This short transfer would help me to know about local culture, schooling facilities for kids, medical coverage, and the cost of living out there to decide my next course of action.
Since we have 40% of the workforce who are working from homes, hence I will opt for the remote work option to complete my assigned tasks while staying away from my desk as there is no much difference in time zone between the USA and Canada. Also, I had a conversation with Tony about my absence, and she will handle my office’s landline to respond to any query during my stay in Canada.
Lastly, I would like to request you to please get formal approval from the general manager about my internal transfer, and ask the administration office to arrange my accommodation near to the Alberta office’s premises, so I could visit on and off to attend an important conference call.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
