You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make.
Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself.
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter, Regarding my credit card statement which I received today. It shows all the expenses which I made last month however I am pretty much sure except 5 to 6 minor purchases all other major purchases are not being made by me. I am a student and earning part-time while studying, So I do not spend this much amount ever. I have my account in your bank for more than 3 years, Although I never spent more than
$1000 from this card.
If you could compare my last 6 months statements, you will find out that, I always shop only groceries from the card moreover i am not keen about electronics and gadgets. But in my current statement, It shows purchase of phone and camera, Which is definitely not mine. I am one hundred percent sure that, My data which is, Using by your bank has been compromised , So as my personal information.
Particular in this situation, I urge you to block my existing card as quickly as possible and send me a new card urgently. Besides that, I am also requesting your organization to maintain strong cyber security for our data.
Yours Faithfully,
Jessica Max.
