As the charts outline, overgrazing and cutting down trees were the significant factors to develop soil depletion, which led the European continent more affected area.
Concerning to first chat, more than a third of the land was degraded globally by extremely grazing of animals (35%), which was closely followed by chopping down trees (30%). 28% of land did degradation due to over-harvesting, whereas an insignificant proportion, 7%, by others.
Regarding regions which were affected, the majority of the land was degraded in Europe (23%) including notable causing factors from deforestation (9.8%), which was 2.1% higher than that of over-harvesting and 4.3% of overgrazing. At the same time, the second most affected place was Oceania with a total figure of 13%, which substantially caused by overgrazing (11.3%). However, nothing was affected by over-agriculture. The rest of the area, North America, minimum land (0.2%) soil deteriorated by deforestation, but overharvesting developed more soil erosion (3.3%) and overall five percent of the land degraded in this region.
