The charts below the levels of participation in education and science in developing and ındustrialised countries in 1980 and 1990.
The charts compare the developing countries and ınustrialised countries in terms of their education and science levels in two different years.(1980 and 1990).
İn ındustrialised countries average years of schooling was just over the 8 years in 1980,somewhat 4 times more than the average years of schooling in developing countries for this year. But this figure slightly increased and surpassed 10 years in 1990,reaching aproximately 11 years, nearly 3 times more than average years of schooling in developing countries for this year.
In 1980,ındustrialised countries had aproxtimately 40 scientists and technicians per 1000 people, somewhat twice more than the number of scientist and technicians per 1000 people in developing countries for this year. But this figure significantly went up and surpassed 60 scientist and technicians in 1990,reaching nearly 80 numbers. However the number of scientist and technicians sligthly inclined and remained far below the ındustrialised countries numbers in developing countries in 1990,reaching aproximately 20 numbers.
When ıt comes to the spending money on research and development,ındustrialised countries spent aproxtimately 200 billion in 1980,somewhat twice more than the budget of developing countries in these areas for this year. But this figure remarkably surged and reached nearly 400 billion in 1990.However spending money on research and development in developing countries went down slighlty in 1990,reaching somewhat 20 billion.
Overall ıt ıs clear that ındustrialised countries had much more facilities and budget than developing countries for their educational and science areas.
