A closer look at the chart shows that the rate of employees in education training, hotel industry, building, and self-employed areas was increased substantially. Meanwhile, the remaining fields witnessed a downward trend throughout the observed period.
More specifically, despite starting at below 5% in 2003, the percentage of people involving in the hotel industry rose dramatically to roughly a fifth, reaching a similar level to those in education and construction fields in 2013. Additionally, the rate of people setting up their own businesses experienced a three-fold growth, from 10% to 30% which was six times higher than that of those jobless in the final research year.
On the other hand, the proportion of people joining the business area witnessed the biggest decline of 20% and remained at approximately 28% compared to only 5% that of the unemployed community in 2013. A similar downward trend can be seen in the medical field, with a rate of one-fifth in 2003, decreasing sharply to only 10% after a decade.
