The line chart provides data on how satisfied people in five countries were with the education system over a twenty-vear period, starting in 1990.
Overall it can be seen that satisfaction levels with the education system in Japan, Germany and Brazil increased, whereas they decreased in the USA and Australia. Further, satisfaction levels in Japan were consistently the highest over the entire period.
Looking at the data sets that increased in more detail, it can be seen that the percentage of people who were satistied with the education system in Japan stood at about 56% in 1990. This figure increased to 69% in 2010, which was the highest value on the chart. Levels of satisfaction with the schooling system in Germany and Brazil showed a similar trend, rising from 34% and 15% to 5O% and 4%, respectively. Satisfaction levels in Brazil therefore showed the greatest increase of al the countries over the period shown.
Turning to the data sets that showed a decrease over the period, it is evident that the percentage of people who were satisfied with the education system in Australia was approximately SON in 1990. They rose briefly to 59% in 1995, and then dropped to 42% in 2010. Similarly, levels of satisfaction in the USA fell from 45% in 1990 to 39% in 2010, which was the greatest decrease of all the categories.
