The company you work has decided to close the cafeteria, as staff is not using it much. You are not happy with the decision. Write a letter to the director:
Give reason for low usage
How will it affect the staff
Suggest ways to improve it
Dear Sir,
My name is Emily and I have been working with this company for 5 years. I am writing this letter to draw your attention to the concern of closing the office canteen. I request you to review your decision as it will be troublesome for those employees who are using it regularly
There are some reasons as to why most of the office employees have stopped eating from cafe. Firstly, the cost of the food provided is not subsidised as per the signed contract. Furthermore, the team badly lacks in food taste and variety.
However, the decision of closing cafeteria will badly affect regular customers. This situation is particularly more concerning for bachelors because they are not having other source of lunch meals.
Improvement can be brought in current cafe management to attract the employees back to cafe. First of all admin needs to revise the menu and more items such as desserts and drinks should be added to it. Also, finance department should keep an eye to check if the food items are not overpriced.
Looking forward to your positive response on this.
Yours faithfully,
Emily
