The table compares the amount of money spent in United Kingdom on food, electronic equipment, music and videos in 1988 among adults (men and women) as well as children (boys and girls).
Overall, it can be seen that the highest figure of expenditure among adults was the food and the least was on the videos. Whereas, children have spent much of their money on music, they have given very less attraction to the food.
According to the graph, adults have spent quarter percentage on food, in which both male and female have spent 14% and 39% respectively. Spending money on electronic equipment was 5% in females which was doubled in male. Music was constant in adults which was 5%. Going ahead, music remained under 2% in the grownups but the figure male was high which was 2%.
Music captured the attraction of children in all the four items, after that videos was also famous around the kids where they spent near 20% of money. Furthermore, they have spent less money (9% boys and 11% girls) on food as compared to the adults.
