The table illustrates, expenditure on food/drinks/tobacco, clothing/footwear and leisure/education in five European nations in 2002.
Overall, in all the countries food, drinks and tobacco was popular on which the people have consumed most of their savings whereas as the least was spent on leisure and education. The figure of Turkey, was higher among the five countries.
In terms of food, drinks and tobacco Turkey was on the top who spent 32.14% which was double than the Sweden which spent 15.77%. After that, 28.91% was spent by the Irish people. Italy and Spain paid 16.36% and 18.80% respectively. The least amount was spent on leisure and education on which less than 5% of the amount was spent.
Spending cash on clothing and footwear was famous where individuals have paid double than the leisure and education. The figure of Italy was higher than the other countries which was 9.00% and Sweden was 5.40% which captured less interest in spending on these items. The remaining countries have spent an average around 6.5%
