You live in a room in college which you share with another student.
However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it
very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In your letter
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir/ Madam,
My name is Julie Hickson, one of the students in college, and I am currently sharing a room with another student. I am writing this letter to let you know that I’m not comfortable sharing a room with her anymore. I have tried to accommodate but, due to the recent problem we are facing with each other, it seems difficult.
The main issue is that she invites her friends over, and they stay up late night, i"m not able to sleep properly, and now it shows on my work. They keep on playing loud music, drinking, and even play movies.
It is now becoming a daily habit, and I am not able to cope with it. I have already complained to the local warden, but hardly anything has been done, although the warden gave a warning but did not seem to have helped. Due to lack of sleep and peace of mind, I am continuously distracted at work and thus less productive. Even clecks and staff in at my work have noticed it.
I prefer to have a single room allotted to me, and don't want to share the room with anyone else. I am willing to pay the extra expenses.
I hope you will look into it.
Yours Faithfully,
Julie Hickson.
