The line graph illustrates the profit of four coffee shops ( The Tea Room, Wifi Café, Internet Express, Café Cool ) in New York over last year. It can be seen that three cafés’ income exhibited an upward trend whilst that of The Tea Room experienced a downward trend.

Café Cool started off at $30,000 in January. There was a gradual fluctuation in Café Cool ‘s earnings from January to September, followed by a modest rise for the next three months. Since then, it has grown steeply to $120,000 in December. Internet Express ‘s profit decreased moderately between January and July, after that it went up remarkably to $130,000 at the end of the year. After increasing for 7 months, Wifi Café ‘s income fell to about $60,000 in September, Thereafter, it rocketed dramatically and peaked at $190,000 in December, which was the highest one of four cafés’ earnings.

The Tea Room had the highest profit in January at nearly $160,000. Since then, it has fluctuated sharply over the following 10 months. In December, it reached its bottom at $50,000, which was also the lowest earnings in the last month of the year.
