TASK 4: INTEREST BOSSTING
ARTICLE: In class, to boost a student’s interest, the teacher needs to combine boring textbook contents with something that the student is interested in.
LECTURE: Ok, here is an example. My wife is a teacher in high school. She is a chemistry teacher. There was one time that she wanted to introduce Ms. Curie to students, but all of her students didn’t care about it and could not concentrate. Then she switched to another way. She showed a movie related to the subject to her students, and she also told a lot of stories about Ms. Curie’s inventions. Owing to the fact that some famous actors were involved in that movie, and they were really popular among students, her students became more interested in the subject, wanted to know more, and could really pay more attention.
