The diagram shows the proposed changes to Foster Road.
Write a 150-word report describing the proposed changes for a local committee.
The given maps compare the suggested future outlook of the Foster road situated between southeast 84th and 85th avenue with the present scenario.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the futuristic plan is highly constructive, spacious, safe, and environment friendly.
According to the given illustration, although the present plan has wider roads to manage huge traffic, it lacks pedestrian's safety and environment cleanliness. In contrast, the proposed plan is composed of a proper balance between safety and cleanliness.
As is given on the map, there is a plan to plant a significant number of trees on both sides of the road to initiate mitigation of increased pollution. In addition, a zebra crossing is going to be installed down the road at the intersection point, which will provide extra safety from the accidents. This crossing will include an island in the middle, where people can stand safely to wait. Further, there is a proposed suggestion to widen up the sidewalks on opposite sides of the road, keeping in view the safety of the people using available amenities. The far end lanes of the road will be assigned only for the use of cyclists.
