The best way for a society to prepare its young people for leadership in government, industry, or other fields is by instilling in them a sense of cooperation, not competition.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.
Although the sense of cooperation is very important, competition is of equal importance. The atmosphere of competition could encourage oneself to study more, work harder, and even try to beat his classmates or coworkers. Moreover, with the air of competing, the whole teams will be stirred up to perform better, in order to emulate or even surpass their teammates as well as other teams. In fact, it is the mixture of the sense of cooperation and competition that leads everyone to success.
First, the sense of competition will give everyone a desire to defeat the rivalry and earn the final success, which will make each one focus on the work more and try to do as good as he can. With such a longing, the potential of one will be unearthed and the latent power will be exploded, allowing the progress and advance beyond imagination. He will get achievement to some extent that even himselves could have ever know. This kinds of accomplishments come from nothing but an air of competition.
Moreover, the sense of competition will stir the hole working group up to fight for their glory with all their strength, no matter where the pressure comes from, inside the group or outside. If there is some atmosphere of competition in the group, which means everyone in the group will compare their work, progress, or even achievements with others, they will struggle to find some ways to win the contest. As a result, the progress of the whole group will gain some benefit as they trying to do their work better, maybe large. On the other hands, if the sense of competition comes from outside the group, then the whole people in the group will be just like one, trying to defeat their adversary for the subsistence of their business. for example.
In addition, the best way to success is not just competition, but the combination of coooperation and competition as a whole. There is much advantage resulting fom competition. However, there is still some disadvatage such as hostility among the colleague. It is the very essentiality that the sense of cooperation lies in. If there is a sense of coorperation inside the group, they will fight togather for a primary goal, that is, defeating other group and pretecting their own business, even though every coworkers are competing with each other. The air will be pleasing and everybody feel safe and on the same side, directing to the victory.
In the end, the sense of cooperation itself can't work. It is the combination of cooperation and competition that makes one group, company, or department successful. The sense of cooperation needs the combustion of competition to put forward. On the other hand, the hostility resulting from competition have to be reconciled by coorperation.
