The chart illustrates the average monthly temperature and precipitation of rainfall in Kolkata's city in a year.
Overall, it is noticeable that the number of degrees in the city of Kolkata rose for the first 5 months before decreasing slightly several months later to the initial temperature in December. Furthermore, 4 months from June to September had an larger amount of rainfall compared to other months of the year. Conversely, December ranked last in the amount of precipitation and temperature degree.
As can be seen obviously, the average temperature of Kolkata's city in the first month of the year was 20oC, which was the lowest one in comparison to other months'. Then, it started rising at a peak of more than 10oC for the next 5 months, at over 30oC in May. The temperature degrees then dropped slightly at about 10oC each month from May to August, kept instant for the month after that and decreased sharply again in the last 3 months before stopping at approximate 20oC in December.
Furthermore, the quantity of rainfall that year had an inconsistent changes. It started at about 25mm in January before increasing significantly at an amount of 325 mm in 7 months, at nearly 350mm of rainfall in July, which was the highest amount of precipitation of the year. After that, it started going down insignificantly until September, and in October, the quantity of rain water dropped as half of an amount of that as in the previous month. It continued declining over 1/3 of that of the month before in November and didn't change in December, at nearly 25mm.
