Overall, it is clearly seem that the cost for importing increase each year. At the same time, Canada prominence in supplying fishes decline as other countries became the main source of supplying.
According to the charts, in 1988 Canada was United States main importer of fishes at a whopping 60% but decreased over the years by 32% in 2000 only reaching up to 28%. In contrast, to China in which its prominence increased over the year from 13% to 30% which is a 17 percent increase. For the rest of the countries US imported from had a fluctuated trend, reaching its peak at 46% in 1992
Regarding the table, the total value in the fishes is 6.57 billion in the year 1988 and started to change from 8.52 to 10.72 billion dollar over the years.
