The given illustration demonstrates the process of generation of electricity by hydroelectricity.
Overall, there are two main steps in the process and this production happens and repeats all the time.
In the early stages, the dam stops the water and create a lake to contain it. The river then flows into this reservoir until the amount of water reaches the limit level. Afterward, water is led by a tube, which only opens during the day time. The exact amount of water goes into a power station and the process moves to the next step.
Regarding the power station, during the day, the turbine is made rotating by the water to operate the generator and then produce electricity. Electricity afterward is led by power lines to the national grinds. Water then goes through another tube into a low-level reservoir. When the night comes, water in this area goes back through tubes, being pumped back to the high-level reservoir and ready for another routine when the day comes.
