The supplied multi-segmented graphical representation delineates the modes of transportation for travellers to university for the purpose of study and work in the years 2004 and 2009.
Considering, the significant changes which took place, it is clearly evident that the construction of a new bus stop at the university in 2006 attracted alot of passengers which resulted in an increase of bus travellers by 13% in 2009. Despite, car was the most popular source of transportation in 2004 which comprised over half of the commuters,with the car parking getting knocked down,there was a surprising decline of about 23%noted in the same by 2009.
On the other hand, bicycle riders comprised to be 9% in 2004 ,which rose by 7% within the another half decade. However, the travellers seemed to be least interested in travelling by train and walking throughout the period in which moderate increment of about 1-2% was apparent till 2008
Overall it is quite conspicuous that by 2004 people were mostly interested in travelling by cars which shifted to public bus by 2009. However, the travellers preferred travelling by train and walking the least.
