The given pie charts give an analysis of the monetary allocation for five categories, namely staffs’salaries, furniture and equipment, resources and insurance of a United Kingdom-based school in three separate years 1981, 1991, and 2001.
In general, it can be seen that the cost of staffs’ salaries represented the biggest proportion of the school annual budget, while the insurance displayed an opposite trend which accounted for the least figure among the surveyed categories.
The payroll given to teachers had an upswing by 10% in the early 80s to comprise half of the total payment in 1991. This sector then illustrated a drip of 5% by the beginning of the twenty-first century. A steady rise was witnessed in insurance with the investment being at merely 2%, 3%, and 8% respectively.
Furniture and equipment were seen that both decrease first and then increase. The expenditure in 1991 was only one third as much as it was 10 years ago. Nevertheless, it made a considerable growth and stood at 23% after a decade. Also, resources e.g. books and other employees’ payment were the same in the tendency of being downward to end at 9% and 15% respectively even though there was a little increase occurred in the salaries of other workers in 1991.
