The graph demonstrates the proportion of tourists visiting the aquarium, castle, zoo, festival in Scotland between 1980 and 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the least popular attraction was the zoo in 1980. Whereas, after 30 years, the aquarium slumped to the least popular. Contrastingly, the most destination was the castle, following by the figure for tourists who prefered to travel the festival in the same period.
After rocketed to nearly 45% in 1995, the number of people visiting castle went down approximately 34%. At the same time, aquarium’s visitors steadily erratic around 10% to 15%. During the next period from 2000 to 2010, while the people visting to castle still dropped slightly around 33%, the figure of zoo leaped with over 20%.
As can be seen from the graph, in 1980, the festival was the most attractive place to visitors as opposed to 20% for aquarium. There was a growth in a number of tourists to aquarium before falling back to roughly 20%. This figure continued to nose-drived to 10% in the final year 2010.
