The line graph presents information about the variations in three different domains of Manchester city centre within a time period, from 2003 to 2012.
Overall, most significant changes are observed in burglary, where there was a negative trend throughout the years. The number of car theft, however, was seen to have an increase the number of robbery remained stable over the time span.
Burglary was the most common crime in the Manchester city, where it began with around 3400 cases during the first year and peaked at 3700 cases the year after. This proportion of burglary dramatically fell to as low as 1000 cases by 2008 and it remained steadily between 1400 to 1500 cases for the following years.
In 2003, the number of car theft was less than 2500 cases compared to burglary. However, the number rapidly increased to 2800 cases by the end of 2012. Robbery was less likely to happen in the city, with seven fold less than the number of Burglary, at 500 cases in 2003. During 2005, the number of robbery rose to 1000 cases and for the following decades, it remained stable until it reached to its original number of 500 cases in 2012
