The bar chart below shows the number of houses built per year in two cities, Derby and Nottingham, Between 2000 and 2009. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The bar chart illustrates the count of homes built yearly in cities Derby and Nottingham within the 10 years period from 2000 to 2009.
Overall, it is clear that the trend for Derby city is going upwards each year whereas, it is not same for Nottingham city as they face ups and downs over the period.
Initially, in 2000, the number of houses made in the former city was less compared to the latter by 10 homes. However, it showed the opposite in the year 2002 where the count of houses made in Derby was 50 more than the other city.
Following that the statistics remained stable for the Derby city till the year 2006 then, it had a significant rise next year till 2009. The counter city displayed plummet till 2005 and has a dramatic decrease in 2006 which was the least drop overtime which again got rose in the year 2007 with 180 houses. However, in the year 2008, Nottingham city faced a huge drop which eventually increased in the year 2009.
