Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The rapid growth of cities has a mostly positive impact on the development of the society. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Undoubtedly, our world has experienced an unparalleled change in the last century because of the quick and huge improvement in science and technology. Societies in these cities encounter many unprecedented changes through these reforms. While many people are worried sick about the negative effects of this rapid shift in condition of those cities in which we live, others think that this change is a normal trigger to improve, even it happens a little bit fast. In my opinion, the rapid change in cities while growing poses positive impacts on cities. In the following essay I will elaborate on my reasons.
First, cities which grows fast provide their resedints the golden oppurtunities to improve their lives. Those cities absorb a tremendous amount of money which flow in the city and invest in the fundamental infrustructures throuth which those cities are able to make a basic infrustructure for a permanent improvement. For example, all large cities in United States has experienced these kind of conditions in the last century. While money flows in the city through this rapid growth, this money makes more money. The more money flow in city, the better financial condition the residents provide with. Recently, I read an article in socialogy about the rate of poverty in some cities in United states which surprisingly data shows that people has a better life style in whole aspects in cities like New York, Boston, and other big cities in which we saw a rapid change in last century rather than some cities such as Uta and New Mexico that they are experiencing a slow pace change.
Second, rapid change in cities is attractive not only for industry and money but also for people who interested in science and technology. It seems that all those factors intertwined and progress with together. For instance, nowadays we saw that cities with a fast pace of change are mekka of small research companies in scientific and technological fields. Those start-up companies absorb high-educated people from around the world to those cities in which cultural diversity is huge. The more cultural diversity, the more cultural dialogue and better human tolerance we see in those cities. These assortment of people from different etnicity, culturla background, and religion adds more resilience in tterm of socialogy in those cities. It is obvious that the racist movement has experience a decline in cities in which people from different culture are leaving togheter with peace.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that in this global village where we are living, a rapid growth of a city influence the city environment in a positive way. This is becasue of economic improvement that comes with this growth and becasue people from different background gather in an environment whcih make them to improve their resilience.
