It is of note that in 2008, spending on transport was reduced from 15% to 14% and from 17% to 16% in both the UK and New Zealand respectively. Regarding leisure expenses, over 18 years, their share soared from 27% to 34% in the UK, while in New Zealand it lessened from 18% by a mere 1%. In addition, Other expenditures rose marginally from 9% to 11% similarly in both countries by 2008.
