The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The two given pictures illustrate the construction of a wave-energy machine and its two situation options.
As can be clearly seen in the first picture, the water enters the machine following the wave direction. There are two ways where the air can go through the machine, the first one is from the top of the machine and the other is from the middle. The airflow makes the two turbines rotate and this generates the electricity.
Considering the wave-energy machine location in the second picture, there are two options which are high installation costs and low installation costs. If people choose to put the wave-energy machine in a place where has large waves, the output will be high. Thus, it will cost much more money. In contrast, if the wave-energy machine is located in a place with small waves, the costs will be surely much lower since the output is low.
