The diagram illustrates the process of making tea in conventional and modern methods.
The diagram illustrates how the leaves are processed in order to produce the black tea that we use in everyday life.
The diagram shows that before black tea is made, several steps should be taken. There are also different methods of manufacturing that define whether it will be tea bags or loose tea.
In the initial stages of the process, fresh tea leaves are picked by hands before being withered in order to get partially dry. As a result, when 60% of the moisture is out, leaves are cutted or rolled depending on the production’s goals: if you need to get tea bags, you should stick on cutting, otherwise you will obtain loose tea.
In the last stages, in both scenarios the substance undergo two treatments. First is oxidation and fermentation that assume the usage of enzymes with air, after which it comes for firing and drying in oven that leaves the 97% of the moisture out meaning that the product is ready.
