Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Shyam, resident of Aparna Enclave Block-C and I really appreciate your idea of utilising certain amount towards the enrichment of our community. As I have been notified that you are seeking feedback on this decision between sponsoring sports activities and paying for concerts, I would want to take this opportunity to share my opinion on the advantages that sports could bring to the local community than participating in concerts.
The local cricket team "Panthers" is already known to be a bright as well as highly talented team. However, in the past, this team could not participate in the state level tournament due to financial troubles. If you could consider sponsoring them for the next 2 years, it would really bolster the confidence of public to take part in many more events. Also, such investments can help in nurturing the upbringing of the society.
On the other hand, I do agree that spending on the concerts would benefit the local community to certain extent. It gives the local community an avenue to attend the concerts as a family thereby giving them a source of enjoyment. In addition, such events usually provide an incentive to local shopkeepers to improve their business during the event. Furthermore, it also enables music bands to grow their network by showcasing their skills.
While spending on the concerts would promote economic growth of the community, I personally think it is going to be a short sighted achievement. I firmly believe that the company should consider sponsoring the sports team of the local community so that they get a chance to represent our community at National level tournaments in the future.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours sincerely
Shyam
