The pie charts compares the relative importance of dissimilar types of employment in two very different countries.
It is noticeable that the proportion of chart employment in Tanzania divided into four and in Ireland divided in five jobs. In Tanzania agriculture employees by far the most people. Nearlyfour out of five (70%) work in this sector, whereas only two percent of Irish people are in agriculture. In Ireland, the largest employer is the service sector, where over 70% of the population work. In Tanzania, the figure is only 14.2%, despite the fact that Tanzania has a significant tourist trade, and this is included in the services figure.
Although manufacturing is quite significant in Ireland, employing over a fifth (21.5%) of the population, not many people are employed in this sector in Tanzania. Other industries are not very significant in either country. Construction, for example,is less than 5% in Ireland, but is even less important in Tanzania, with only a very small number of (0.6%) employed in this industry. There is also some employment in the energy and water industries in Ireland. However, this not mentioned in the Tanzania data
