The maps demonstrate some changes and developments of an area around the sea in Templeton between 1990 and 2005.
By taking a look at the pictures, it can be clearly seen that in 2005 the area was more urbanized in comparison to 1990. In this period of time the place underwent a myriad of transformations. The following descriptions are going to elaborate the differences.
The first point that is worth considering is that in the north-west of the river some trees were cut down and houses were destroyed to make way for skyscrapers. Moving onto the north-west of the school, some forests were chopped down and an airport was constructed and in the north of the hospital some houses were built. Nevertheless, around the middle of the river some houses were knocked down. Also in the south-west of the area a plethora of houses were demolished and two apartment blocks and a supermarket were built. Moreover, in the west of the railway station some trees and houses were pulled down and a new factory sprang up. Nonetheless, near the sea, a ferry service and a new railway were established.
To sum up, comparing two maps reveals some changes and developments from a rural area to an urban place in the period of time.
