Dear Sir, Greetings for the…
Dear Sir,
Greetings for the day! I am writing this letter to nominate a person, for an award that your newspaper honors to appreciate the noble voluntary work. The person’s name is Louis Prastil and he is the president of our community council.
At the onset, I highly believe that Mr. Louis could win this award. He is the president of our local community council. He is a doctor by profession and working as a full-time doctor, and part time volunteer worker at a community hospital. Despite of working at the community hospital, he serves humanity in collaboration with many non-governmental organizations.
Further, I could tell a lot about Mr. Louis as I have known him for about 10 years now. As we live in the same community, I have seen him helping the community over many years. Although we do not live in the same area, we at least meet twice a week, for various arrangements to help the society. Also, we often meet at the community functions and events. As I too like to be a part of the volunteer work, our paths cross on frequent basis and I have privileged to work with him on many social events.
Lastly, I would like to tell you a recent example of his help to the neighborhood. Since, he is the president of our community council, he knows almost everybody in the society and everyone around him loves him for what he does for all of us. Recently, because of the heavy rain fall in our region, many houses were damaged and many of our community members were highly affected by the calamity. After the storm, Louis himself had visited all the affected houses and asked for any sort of help anybody needed. He supplied food packets, distributed medical first-aid kits to all the impacted families, and arranged shelter for their stay. In fact, he also took an aged couple to his home. Mr. Louis is not only our hero, but also pride and great inspiration of the community.
Hope you will see his dedication towards the community and humanity, and select him for your prestigious award.
Thank you, 1/12/2021
Judy Ross
