The two pie charts indicate the figures of the five main sources of energy to be used in the USA in 1980 and 1990.
At the first glance, oil was used the most in the USA, it was the largest proportion of total energy use, even though it reduced dramatically from 42% in 1980 to only 33% 1980. The second biggest number belonged to natural gas, it nearly remained over a decade, 26% in 1980 and 25% in 1990. Meanwhile, there was a slight increase in oil, it constituted for 22% 1980 and accounted for 27% ten years later. Particularly, as for nuclear power, it doubled over this decade, from 5% to 10% in 1990. By contrast, there was no change in hydronelectronic power, it remained at 5% both 1980 and 1990.
It is concluded that oil was the largest number and the second place belonged to natural gas compared to other energy uses in the USA in 1980 and 1990.
