The maps below show recent changes in the town of Kimsville. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The provided two pictures compare the layout of a town named Kimsville as it was in 2002 with its current state.
Overall, it is apparent that the town has developed into a much more vibrant and modern place compared to the past with the introduction of various facilities.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 2002, there used to be a factory and an old cinema situated to the east and south of the town centre respectively. Nevertheless, at the present, they have been pulled down and converted into a software company and a pub. Another remarkable change to the town has been the construction of a new train station to the west of the central area.
It is interesting to note that Kimsville had no residential area in 2002; however, new apartments have been erected to the north-west of the area nowadays. Meanwhile, there used to be a green area with trees scattered around to the southwest, but the trees have been chopped down, with a completely new football stadium taking their place. Finally, no changes have been made to the original shopping centre.
