The bar chart demonstrates the increased rate of citizens of five particular cities on the planet, and their distribution to the countrysides and towns.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that from the beginning Tokyo had the highest growth rate, while Bombay in the early stage, though the rate was low, in the passage of time its growth rate was increased highly. Jakarta had the same trend as Bombay. In the case of New York, the change was not significant as the others had.
Regarding Tokyo which had the maximum number of growth over the three periods among the mentioned cities. It started approximately from 16 million and end with 28 million. On average the growth rate is four million, while the number was far more in the case of Bombay and Jakarta. In 1970 Bombay had 5 million inhabitants and Jakarta had less than five million. In the next year, the value went over, and close to 10 million respectively. After four decades the growth rose so highly and remained over 25 and 15 million for the former and latter city.
Turning to the other two towns, no noticeable change is observed in New York, the difference between beginning and ending point, not more than 4 million, while in Shanghai in 2010 the increased rate is so high comparing the previous two decades, and the remained number almost 10 million more than the previous.
