Overall, while elders are the ones who used milk the most, butter was the most popular item for those who were between 45 to 65. Moreover, people under 25 preferred full-fat milk while only people from 26 to 45 showed a strong preference towards low-fat butter
With regards to the consumption of milk, people under 25 drank the least with 1200ml per week, which comprises 59% full- fat and 41% low- fat. The weekly consumption of people from 26 to 45 years old was higher, reaching 1650ml- 20% full-fat and 80% low-fat. Adults from 45 to 65 bought 1670ml of milk (55% low fat and 45% full fat) and senior individuals over 65 years old’s weekly milk consumption was the highest with 1900ml. Specifically, 30% and 70% of this was full fat and low fat respectively
In terms of butter, this product was bought the most by people in the age group of 45-65, reaching 60g with even portions of low-fat and full-fat. People in age group of under 25, however, consumed the least with merely 12g including 60% full-fat, which is 7g lower than that of whom from 26 to 45 with 38% and 62% of full-fat and low-fat respectively. Finally, elders above 65 consumed 30g of butter weekly with 49% full-fat and 51% low-fat
