The Table below shows the results of a survey that asked 6800 Scottish adults (aged 16 years and over) whether they had taken part in different cultural activities in the past 12 months.

The table compares participation in six cultural activities of 6800 Scottish people who aged 16 and above, in 12 months
Overall, each age group had different attitudes towards these activities. However, a same tendency was reported in terms of any writing and computer based when with the exception of people from 16 to 24, these activities did not sound really attractive to others
People between 16 to 24 showed a strong preference towards any performance with 35% of them took part in these activities, which was 13% higher than that of the age group from 25 to 44 years old. Visual arts was also really popular when it was chosen by 30% of the adolecents from 16 to 24. While 17% of these people participated in writing, the remaining acitivities just attracted around 10% to 11% of them. With regards to the adults between 25 to 44, the fgure for undertaking crafts, cultural purchases and visual arts was nearly even, which was around 16 to 17% while the remaning figures were not over 10%
In contrast, undertaking any craft was the most favourite cultural activities for people from 45 to 74 years old when it was took part in by 22% of them. Moreover, 17% and 18% of them decided to join in any performance and cultural purchases respectively with their least popular activities allocated to writing and computer based, both had a same figure of 5%.
