The two given maps illustrate how a bookstore has changed in its organization from 2000 and now. In general, the bookstore has witnessed many crucial changes in the layout of each book’s genre.
In the present time, a non-fiction area to the south-east is given way to a coffee shop and moved to the east, where fiction books used to be. Additionally, fiction area to the north and the east, which was the main genre. of this bookstore is now reduced in size to the north-east and taken the same proportion as others. In 2000, the middle to the east of the bookstore was the area for hobbies, cookery, and art. However, now the art and cookery are shifted to the north-west and the north respectively, which were the area for the fiction. Also, this area has adjusted a lots as well, with the appearance of a table and the disappearance of the hobbies. Lastly, to the west and the south west, which include an entrance, a service desk, travel and new books, stay unchanged during this period of time.
