Overall, the amount of gas and coal generating energy in France increased slightly in both years and accounted higher percentage than the others. It can be seen that the amount of energy generated from gas ,coal ,nuclear ,and other sources of energy increased slightly while energy production from petrol decreased sharply
In 1995 , coal production was the highest ,accounting for 29,80% of total energy production in France. The figure for gas and petrol was slightly lower at 29,63 and 29,27% respectively. Meanwhile ,only 6,40% of total energy production in France was generated by nuclear. The percentage of energy produced from other sources is the lowest at only 2,90%
In 2005 it can be seen that the amount of energy produced for gas and coal was higher than other sources, petrol and nuclear. In 2005 There was a sharp fall in the production of energy by petrol about 10%, while the opposite trend was for gas, coal,nuclear and other sources which went up slightly .
