The bar chart compares the amounts of Olympic rewards won by twelve different countries (USA, Soviet Union, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Australia, Hungary, East Germany, Japan, China).
Overall, It is clear that the US gained the largest number of medals won in the Olympics, while The Soviet Union had got nearly half of the medals won by The USA and ranked second on the list. In terms of the smallest amounts of medals won, Japan stands first followed by China.
Approximately 950 Gold, 700 Silver, 700 Bronze rewards were won by The US, whereas The Soviet Union bagged about 400 Gold, 350 Silver and 250 Bronze. Even though Germany had more medals totally than Italy, Italia had around 200 Gold rewards, a higher than Germany, which accounts for 150 Gold medals. Similarly, Hungary, East Germany, and China had approximately 170 Gold awards. It is also noticeable that Japan had only approximately 400 rewards total with nearly 100 Gold awards.
